Baptism day.

On September 26th, we got our sweet little girl baptized. It was an absolutely beautiful day out with perfect weather, and we were so blessed to be able to share the day with lots of friends and family! We had just over 50 people at the house to help us celebrate. Evie wore the christening gown that my grandma made for me over 30 years ago. She was the 10th baby in our family to be baptized in it. Here are some pics!

Getting ready. Everyone who has worn the gown has their name embroidered on the slip!

She did a great job!Our little family.

Close up of the gown. Grandma tatted every inch of lace on it!

Love my little girl...

So for almost two years, I have been living in the house with this:
Don't get me wrong, I love my boys more than anything, but they are loud, they smell and they are crazy!! I told Eva the other day that I am so glad that she is a little girl. We needed a lot more of this around the house:
Yes, pink, tutus, bows, and sparkly socks. Sweet, sweet baby girl!

First day of school!

Today was Ollie's first day of nursery school! This year he is in the Ducklings class. He did great at meet the teacher day on Wednesday, so I was hoping for the best at drop off. He did fantastic! He ran into the classroom and started playing right away. He even took a nap at school, and the teachers said that he was a good boy. He will be going on Tuesdays and Thursdays this year to get a break from sitting at home with Mommy and Evie.

Pretties!

Having a baby girl entails a whole new world of accessories. I have been loving all of the pink, and have also gotten into all of the little legwarmers. I'm still not sure about the headbands on her almost bald little noggin, but they will be cute later when she gets a little older! Why do I know this? Oh yeah, because Oliver has been modeling them for me. He calls headbands and hair clips "pretties". He wouldn't leave the clip in his hair, but is quite fond of her headbands. So funny! I'm sure that Jon is very proud...

One month stats!

We can't believe that Miss Evie is one month old already! She did great at her one month appointment. Dr. Bergstein is thrilled with her growth!! She said that Eva is very strong - she can already lift her head and move it back and forth, as well as track objects! She is 22.5 inches long (90th percentile) and 10 pounds, 4 ounces (80th percentile). I can't believe that she has already gained 2.5 pounds! Here's a look at how much she has grown!
