School pics

Here are the kiddo's school pics for this year. The photographer was amazing; she only took 4 shots (the first one Eva wasn't smiling in). Here are the 3 good ones!

O, Christmas tree...

After we got home from Thanksgiving and got a good night's sleep, we decided to go get our Christmas tree. The kids had a great time running around and picking out the perfect tree. I tried, and failed, to get a picture for our Christmas card. It is hard to keep the two of them still and smiling!! It was still fun. Oliver is so excited about Christmas this year, and was so pumped to go get a tree.

This would be Evie trying to make the same sound as the saw. I think any other kid would be afraid of the loud noise, but not this one...

Sharing ice cream after setting the tree up.

Potty training 101

It has finally happened. Oliver Charles is using the potty! November 17th was his last day of school before Thanksgiving break, so when I went to pick him up, I told him we were going to go home, put on big boy underwear, and go on the potty. He didn't really like that idea at all, but I finally got him into underwear. The first day he peed on himself twice, and that was that. The second day, I set a timer every half hour and made him sit on the potty. We had a potty time song and dance and everything. He was so annoyed at me by the end of the day, but had 10 stickers on his chart. He got a M&M every time he sat on the potty, and another 2 M&M's plus a sticker every time he peed or pooped. Every 5 stickers, he got a prize. He went to soccer on Saturday, and did great, and also did wonderful over all of our Thanksgiving travels. He has only had about one accident a week. He is wearing pull-ups at night, but wakes up dry every morning. We are so proud of our big boy! Here he is with his potty-training present, a dump truck!

Happy Turkey Day!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year up at the Krouse house. It was so much fun to see all of the cousins play together! We have so much to be thankful for, and were happy to spend the day with friends, family, and a ridiculous amount of food.

Turkey cake pop. My eyes were crossing and I was going a little crazy during this 6 hour project, but a few glasses of wine made it easier, and they turned out really cute!Completed turkey army. I made one for each person that was at Thanksgiving. My little helper assisting with the corn pudding. Dan's mom had this football field painted in her backyard for the boys. So fun!

A night on the town.

Jon was invited to go to the Super Cure gala partially sponsored by Lilly and benefiting the Susan G. Komen Breast Tissue Bank. http://komentissuebank.iu.edu/ It was such an awesome night with great food, great entertainment, and supporting a great cause! I have been telling everyone I know about the tissue bank, and donating tissue. Here we are all gussied up!

I like to eat, eat, eat!

I am amazed daily by the amount of food little tiny Eva consumes. Oliver was always a big eater, but was also a big boy. Eva eats more than he ever did, and she continues to be the thinnest little thing ever! She definitely has Jon's build and metabolism.

Mowing down strawberries as an afternoon snack. We are still working on silverware...She still hooks her little toes on the tray of her highchair.Ollie doing apple tricks. Her Japanese blood is coming out. She even has an apple hooked on her chopsticks!Their favorite thing, movies and popcorn.

Go Wabash!

On Saturday, Wabash had a big football game against Wittenberg, and since it was beautiful and sunny out, we decided to trek to Crawfordsville to catch part of the game. This was Oliver and Eva's first trip to Wabash. We stopped in the gift shop first to buy some Little Giant's gear, and then headed over to Hollett Little Giant Stadium. It was a great game-Wabash won 28-17, and it was fun to be back on campus. Both kids passed out on the way home, so we called and ordered pizza, picked it up, and then had a pizza and ice cream party. It was a perfect fall Saturday!

Since they now have field turf, at half time you can go play on the field. I'm glad we bought a few little footballs in the gift shop!Playing catch with Daddy!Run, Ollie, run!Eva hiking the ball! OK, not really, but it looks like it!Oliver loved running the outline of the "W"!Future football star?Smashing a pie in this Wally's face! Maybe another Little Giant in the future? The beautiful stadium. So after dinner (where she ate a lot, as usual), Jon and I were sitting in the office. All of the sudden, I saw her run by with a slice of pizza. She had gone into the kitchen and gotten it out of the box, and she proceeded to eat the entire thing. She eats so much, and is so skinny! She takes after her daddy...Pizza thief mowing down. And now it's time for ice cream! Best Saturday ever!Chocolate, delish!
