Random December pics

First view of those big chompers at the beginning of December. He got three teeth in one night! Up to 5.
Snowman pancakes, complete with bacon scarves!!
Attacking an orange, peel and all!
Chowing down! When he is finished eating, he will rub food in his hair and start throwing it. And everything he doesn't like goes overboard. He will pick it up, give us a look and drop it straight onto the floor.
So excited!!
These two are the best playmates!
Chomping on the table. At least he's chewing on the guard. The kid's table in the basement looks like a beaver attacked it, because he chomped down the entire side of it!
Helping with the dishes. We have a climber!!
Evie was helping me catalogue Goodwill stuff, and decided to try on this snowsuit. It's a size 12 month...
At Peewinkle's for their Christmas puppet show. They did the 12 Days of Christmas, and Evie was the maid a milking.
Elliot's new favorite thing! His car from Gramma and Papa.
He sometimes has to fight his brother and sister to get in it though!
Hmm, I think I need to try the wrapping paper.

Go Colts!

The day after we got home from Wisconsin, we had our last set of Colts tickets. We didn't have a babysitter, so decided that Ollie could go to his first game. He was so excited to see "his guy, number 12, Andrew Luck". He had such a great time, and made Jon stay until the very end of the game. He especially loved the confetti that came down from the ceiling every time the Colts scored. Such a fun experience for him, and for Daddy!

Ready to go!
 Go Andrew Luck!

Dells

The day after Christmas, we headed up to the Dells for a two night stay with Grandma, Papa, Jenna and Chris, and Chuck, Jody, Alex and Cassie. We always have such a great time!! It is awesome to have big cousins and a lot of adults to help out with our kiddos. The kids really loved both the indoor activities and the water park. Oliver was such a big boy and went down the big water slides for the first time. In his words, "That was awesome!! Let's go again!!" I'm sad that I don't have a lot of pictures of him, because a) He doesn't love getting his picture taken these days and B) most of the time I was going down the big slides with him, so I didn't have the camera with me!!

Evie doing the kiddie ropes course.
Alex and Ollie playing mini golf.
Climbing the rock wall with Cassie. It was tough! Especially since I didn't have tennis shoes. I had to borrow the Dell's crocs (gross!!), and they weren't great for gripping the "rocks".
I only made it to the big elephant, but was pretty happy with that considering we had watched a bunch of teenagers attempting to climb, and none of them got that high! I think I only saw one person the entire trip that actually made it to the top...
Bumper boats
Evie Vader. Chuck and Jody got this for Ollie, and he was very upset by it. Of course Evie put it on right away! It is really cool-it changes the sound of your voice and everything! In a few years when he gets into Star Wars, he will love it!
Cousin buddies!!
Elliot had such fun in this swing jumper. He really liked the water.
Ollie giving Daddy a ride. Jon was really sick for most of our Dells trip. We are glad that he was able to join us for a little water fun on the last day!
Playing with the musical turtles.
Water slide!! Yahoo!
Mermaid Eva
He had fun in the lazy river too!

11 months old

Another fun thing about Christmas, besides the fact that it was Elliot's first Christmas, was that it was also his 11 month birthday!! Here he is snoozing with his mama in Great Grandma's rocking chair in her bedroom while the festivities were going on in the other room!
My baby really isn't a baby anymore!! He is still the sweetest, happiest little guy, but starting to get a little ornery! He has the best belly laugh, 8 teeth, loves food, pulling all the tupperware out of the cabinet and throwing it around! He also likes electrical cords and pulling the front lamp off of the end table. He will now let out a great squack when one of the kiddos tries to take something away from him or is doing something he doesn't like. He has been sticking his tongue out a ton over the last week or so. He is great at squats. He nods, shakes his head no, and points at everything! He also likes to clap, wave and play peek-a-boo. He growls a lot too, which is really funny. We don't remember the other two doing that... He is taking up to 5 steps at a time, but crawling is still much more efficient. I think we will have a walker soon!!

Merry Christmas!

We had a really great Christmas this year. I really love the fun traditions that we have started. Nothing in the world could be better than Christmas with small children. It is so awesome to see the magic in their eyes as they talk about our elves, Santa, reindeer, etc. We had several rounds of presents this year, starting with Gramma and Papa Krouse's on the 22, Gramma and Papa Haug's on Christmas Eve after Breakfast with Santa, and our family gifts on Christmas Eve night. Jenny came over to watch the kids open presents and to have Christmas Eve dinner with us (mussels and wine, yum!) before I headed off to midnight mass. Then we had a fun Christmas morning playing with our presents from Santa, before getting dressed and heading up to Wisconsin for Christmas dinner and more fun!

Cuties getting ready to open presents!
They both made reindeer food at school, and had a great time sprinkling it on the lawn.
Heading down the stairs on Christmas morning.
Someone was a little sleepy, but perked right up when she saw what Santa brought!
Plasma cars from Santa. So much fun!
Working on her stocking.
New piano! Don't mind his stocking that says Baby's First Christmas 2008 and has a picture of Ollie on it. Grandma Haug makes the kids their own stockings on their first Christmas, so we knew he would be getting one later in the day that we can use from now on!
Look at this cool ball! (Or EOS chapstick...)
So much fun!

Breakfast with Santa

This year Lilly's Breakfast with Santa was on Christmas Eve. Jeff and Marie have not ever been to Jon's office, and hadn't been to Lilly since he was a new hire 14 years ago! So they joined us for a fun morning and to get a tour.

Eating breakfast! Evie, Gramma and Ollie. The food was yummy, as always.
Ollie, Papa, and Daddy
Daddy, Mommy, and Elliot, looking oh so thrilled.
Dancing on the stage while waiting for our picture with Santa!
Mr. Chill did not mind sitting on Santa's lap at all! And Santa really liked Elliot's red outfit.
Merry Christmas from the Haugs!

Christmas Express

This year we continued our tradition of the Christmas Express. Chippy and Dora brought new PJ's for everyone, and had cocoa and popcorn waiting for us in the warm car so we could go check out some lights. We found a cool house nearby that has lights timed to music. It will be on our permanent Christmas lights must see list!
Look at that excited face!
This little smarty pants said "ooo, we did this last year. Hey, I bet we will get to do this every year!!" Love it!
This guy was a champ at opening his first present!
Tickets out and ready to go! Will and Vivian got some new pj's too!
Cute Christmas Jammies!
