Random September pics

As I said before, this kid is all over the place!! Why not play in the bottom of the exersaucer??
Happy bear!
The perils of having an older sister... He looks pretty cute though!
Evie on white day at school. She looks like she's ready for a tennis match! So cute.
Spiff came over for a visit one night, and decided that this was probably the safest place to hide...
Ollie and his self portrait on the driveway.
Swinging at school.
This is pretty fun!
Jon and I at the Hazlett's wedding in Michigan. It was the first time I had been away from Elliot for more than 4 hours. We spent 2 nights up there and had a great time! These were boozy popsicles at their reception. Yum!
New hat!
Not quite sure how he managed that one... I looked away for a second and he stripped!
Singing a beautiful song!
Slip and slide!
Dads and Donuts day at Preschool. Papa came down so each of them would have someone in their classroom. They all had a great time!

Apple orchard

The last weekend of September, even though we had a sick princess, we headed down to Anderson Orchards for some apple picking. We gave her a little Tylenol, loaded up the car, and were off!

So sweet waiting for Mom, Dad and Elliot to get ready.
Trying to find the perfect apple tree.
We are glad we had our Daddy ladder with us!
He makes picking the high ones a lot easier.
They had a ton of apples this year! We found gorgeous ones pretty easily unlike last year when we had to hunt.
Me and the babes doing some taste testing.
So delish!
No trip to the orchard would be complete without a little tree climbing.
Cheese!
Cutest apple holder ever!
Big guy!
What cute apples!

Sick baby girl

Poor Evie spent part of September feeling awful. Round one was just a virus with a yucky fever, and round two towards the end of the month turned into an ear infection. She has only had one ear infection ever, so it was pretty surprising! Luckily, her antibiotics kicked everything that she had going on. We don't like seeing our princess like this!!

One day we were playing in the basement. I looked over and she had fallen asleep on the couch. Poor thing!
Sweet rosy cheeks.
This was the point that we headed to Minute Clinic to get checked out!

8 months old

Elliot at 8 months is all over the place! He is now a superspeed crawler, and can jet across the room so quickly. He really loves to stand, and pulls up on everything! Most mornings when I go in his room, he is standing there with a huge smile on his face. We are working on napping in his crib. Sometimes he will give me 1.5-2 hours, sometimes 20 minutes. He is always a happy little guy though, so he must be getting what he needs. He is still getting up on average 2 times a night. Yes, he eats both times. During the day he nurses about 5 times, and is now getting 3 meals a day. He loves Puffs, yogurt melts, and eating magazines. He also loves clicking his tongue, blowing raspberries, and making lots of sounds-mamama, dadada, bubbabubba, aaaaaaahhhhhh (singing), lalala. He is still the most chill, smiley baby, and LOVES his brother and sister. He especially cracks up whenever he sees Ollie. He sits great, but most of the time is on the move when he is on the floor. He is wearing 9-12 and 12-18 month clothes, and just moved up to a size 4 diaper. He is very much a momma's boy right now, and is starting to have separation anxiety. Whenever I walk into the room, he climbs me, or dives into my arms if someone else is holding him. We all love our little bubba so much!

Cuddlebugs

Miss Evie has been sleeping on her mattress on the floor for awhile now. It has been almost a year since she fell off the high side of her toddler bed when she was riding it like a horse (see this if you need a refresher... Oops!) Her bed used to be on the opposite side of the room from Ollie's, but one night she moved it over near his bed. Then he decided that he wanted to have his mattress on the floor next to hers. So they are pretty much in a big toddler bed on the floor. This always makes for some pretty interesting sleeping positions. They are so cute though!!

This is when Evie was sick. Ollie told Jon "I will take care of my sister". So sweet!

Cutie pies!

Bathroom repair

It has been awhile since we had a major home repair to do. After a freak accident in the upstairs bathroom (Jon knocked a crystal perfume bottle from the top shelf of the medicine cabinet. Instead of shattering, it chipped slightly and managed to make a hairline crack all the way through the basin of our sink. He is 2/2 on bathroom sinks, in case anyone is keeping score...), we headed to Home Depot to buy a new sink. They do sell the basin and pedestal separately, but we ended up having to buy both parts since we could not find a matching basin for our square base...

Checking out the damage.
K, Daddy, we are ready to work!
After "helping" for a bit, they decided to guard the bathroom door.
Goodbye old sink!
After awhile, most of the contents of their bedroom moved into the hallway with them. No one is getting by now!

Goop

Over the summer, Ollie and Luke attended "Mad Scientist Camp" at Park Tudor. (It's called Park Toot-er because everyone toots there!! Hahahaha-Ollie) One day at camp, they made goop, and then sent home the recipe (2 parts cornstarch to 1 part water). It has been hanging on the fridge ever since, waiting for a rainy day. So we finally mixed up a batch. It was the craziest stuff!! It feels solid, but then you can scoop it up and it turns into a liquid. Ollie had a great time playing with it! Evie wasn't so sure... She did enjoy putting different colors into it though.

Mixing up a batch of goop.
Play time!
Slime! So cool!
I think her face says it all...
He loved it though.
Our cute little monkey.
Pbltttt
I'm gonna get you!
