So I walked into the kitchen one morning to find this:
He's like, "Hey Mom, just have to make a few calls before we go out for the day."
"Luke, you there buddy? It's me, Ollie. Where do you want to play today??"
We had been to Costco the night before, and I love how he was perched perfectly on the flat of waters with his feet propped up on the box. Just chilling. Nice.

Spring is in the air!
The Saturday after we got home from our big trip, we decided that it was time to get our house in shape for the spring. We spent the morning mulching and cleaning the windows, and then took a trip to Lowe's and Home Depot for some flowers, new porch furniture cushions, and an outdoor rug. Jon fixed the fence that had been removed over the winter when we had our foundation repaired, and I built Oliver's new basketball hoop and Cozy Coupe. Trish and I had gone on a Toys 'R' Us run earlier in the week since neither Luke nor Oliver were big enough to play with outdoor toys last summer. Our house is all spiffed up now and looking good!

Baby Girl!
The morning after we got home from Florida, I had my 20-week ultrasound! It was a hectic morning; we got home from the airport at 2 am after having a delayed flight. Oliver was up and attem early, so we got him off to school, and drove up to the OB's office. Jon got to see the first half of the ultrasound while I was nervously being scanned on the table, and he kept saying "aw, that's so cute!!". Finally the tech got all of the measurements and turned the screen so I could see too!! Jon looked at me in the middle and whispered "I think it's a boy". That's kind of what I had been expecting, so I was in shock when the tech said "I never say 100 percent for sure, but these are very clear pictures, and this is a little girl".
Everything looked great on the ultrasound. Our little girl peanut is 13 oz, and measuring at the 65th percentile. We could see all 4 chambers of her little heart beating, and her heart rate was 150. We saw all of her little fingers, and her little feet. During the ultrasound while the tech was getting the "proof of purchase" shot, the baby peed!! I didn't even know that you could see that happening, but it pretty much guaranteed for us that she is a girl, because it surely didn't come out of a little hose!! Here are some of our pics.
Her little hand is hovering above her mouth!
Peeing during the pictures!
Her thumb is right above her mouth in this one.
Two legs with her little hands in between.
Hi foot!

Butterflies and Alligators!
On Saturday we headed to the Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory. It was so beautiful! There were so many butterflies flitting around. The people who worked there said that if a butterfly lands on you, that is good luck. I was in complete shock when one landed on Oliver's back! It was a nice outing before another evening of pool time.

On Sunday, Jon took Ollie to the Key West Aquarium so I could get one last day of sun. As I was flipping through the pictures, he said "oh, you probably won't like some of those...". Here is what he let little Oliver do while I was not present!!
Oliver looks mesmerized by the baby alligator!!

Water baby!
Oliver loved "swimming" in the pool during vacation. I would throw his shovel and sand toys into the water, and Jon would whoosh him over so he could grab them all, swim them back to me, and then repeat the entire process. He also had a fabulous time playing at the beach. It was college Spring Break while we were down in Key West, and all of the college girls were fawning over Ollie the entire time. I was chasing him at the pool one day, and in every chair that we passed was a girl saying "Hi Oliver". He's a lady killer already, folks!
Glass Bottom Boat
On Friday evening, we went down to the end of Duval Street and did the Pride of Key West glass bottom boat sunset cruise. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but if I could offer you a piece of advice, DO NOT take a 17-month old on a boat. Poor Oliver wanted to run around the whole time, but it was a little rough, and we didn't want him to get hurt. It was a pretty cool cruise though, and really neat to see the coral reef through the boat bottom!
Waiting for the cruise to begin.
View of the boat bottom. You can see Ollie's little white tennis shoes! The sun kind of distorted our pic, but his little smile is still so cute!
Good-bye, sun!

I love Florida!
So somehow we managed to have beautiful weather the entire time we were in Key West. The only two days that it rained our entire vacation were the two days that we were traveling! Oliver had such a great time running around in the warm weather. Here are some more pics...
