Other random May pictures

Feeding the mutant ducks at the canal
Ollie testing out his new ride.
Have you ever been so tired that you fell asleep sitting up and then collapsed forward onto the pillow that you were holding in your lap? Yeah, neither has Evie...
 Beautiful princess dresses.
Washing the table, car, bikes, tricycle, and anything else they could find made out of plastic.
Cement truck! New driveway across the street! Big excitement!
 Dancing in the rain
And finding worms after the storm
 Bike parade with Silas
Ha ha, I got my sister!
 Cuddle bugs
Mom, that girl is grabbing me again!!!

Our own little Fix it Felix. She LOVES the movie Wreck it Ralph, and likes to carry around a hammer and pretend that she is Fix it Felix. She won't respond to you unless you call her Fix it Felix. The other day I walked in the living room, and she was in this pose. If you can't tell, Felix is on the TV in the exact same position. Too funny!

Hi Mom! My arm is stuck, but I'm getting there!
I have been trying forever to get a picture of his sad face, because it's so cute! We just don't see it very much...
 Love to eat my fingers!
 Sad face #2
Lunch date with his buddy Logan! They are having a blast.
Snoozing on Daddy. This is his favorite position to nap. Often I will be holding him and he will just go dead weight because he is passed out!
 Figured out the roll!
 Delicious!
 Heads up!

Last t-ball game

The Bats really improved throughout their season. May 29th was their final game, and we even played 3 innings! When the ball went into the outfield, they took turns getting it as opposed to the pile-up that occured at the beginning of the season. Everyone did a great job hitting and running too. We all really enjoyed t-ball!

Country kids!

Over Memorial Weekend, we finally drove up to the Haug's for our first camping trip of the year. Usually we have a huge cookout and go to the race on Memorial Weekend, but since Elliot is still so little, we decided to take a year off. Elliot and I stayed in the house, but Jon, Ollie and Evie slept in the tent and had a great night! This is the first time that Evie camped out. She loved it. They had a fire, and ate s'mores. So much fun!
This was also the first time that Ollie got to shoot a gun. Jon has taken him shooting a few times where he just watched, but he actually got to fire this time! They did some target practice aiming at a tide bottle. He did pretty good!

The next day when we got home, Jon and Ollie walked down to the canal to do some fishing.
He is loving the great outdoors!

4 months old!

At 4 months, Elliot is still the happiest, most smiley baby! I have been asked by multiple people if he ever cries. The answer is yes, but not very often. He is just the sweetest thing! He has really found his voice, and will laugh back and forth with us, and squack and squeal. He rolled over twice randomly at 3.5 months, and then, all of the sudden, about a week before turning 4 months, he figured it out and flips onto his tummy almost every time we lie him on his back! He is also alternating pushing up really high with his arms and pulling his little knees under him with his little butt up in the air. Uh oh, we may have another early crawler! The biggest accomplishment we had in the past month is moving Elliot into his crib in his own room. He is finally sleeping! Most nights we get a 5-6 hour stretch, and then another 2-4 hour stretch after that. One night we even got 9 hours straight, but that was an isolated incident thus far.

Favorite things:
Cuddling
Pulling on toys/hair/skin/clothes
Laughing at Daddy, Mama, Bubba and Sister
"Standing"-Putting his weight on his legs and watching Evie and Ollie

Dislikes:
Bottles
Pacifiers
Wet diapers (but he's getting better about this!) He still has a ton of wet diapers every day, but is only pooping about once every 3-4 days at this point.

Dr. Bergstein was impressed by his strength at his 4 month appointment. She said "wow, he's not a floppy baby at all!!" as he supported his weight on his legs and looked around the room. He has met all of his milestones, and is still growing great! He was 26.5 inches long (92nd percentile) and 15 pounds, 6 ounces (70th percentile). I don't remember much about his appointment as my two helpers were there with me, and I was trying to keep them occupied while answering all of Dr. B's questions and keeping Elliot happy. He did great with his shots- crying for a short time, taking a short nap, and then waking up smiling. Poor guy!

Start your engines!

The month of May in Indy usually involves at least one visit to the race track, and a big party weekend at the end of May. This year we didn't end up going to the race, but Jon took the kids out twice. The first time, he went out with Mark and Silas to watch Bump Day. This was Evie's first trip to the track. She still may have been a bit young for all of the racing action, but Oliver LOVED it!

In fact, he loved it so much that Jon took him out again on Carb Day. They watched the cars run, and spent some time in the kid zone.

Spring is finally here!

This spring has been rather cool. We still had several nights with frost in May! So we delayed our planting until the 19th when we were pretty sure that we were safe from the cold killing everything off. After I got home from singing at church, we ran to Costco, and then to Lowes to buy our flowers and vegetable plants/herbs. By the time we got home, we had this in the backseat: 3 sleepers! That never happens...
Elliot woke up first and hung out in his swing while Jon and I got stuff ready to plant. As soon as Ollie and Evie woke up, we had our assistants and were ready to go!
We planted flowers in the porch boxes.
