Report card already?

So yesterday when I went to drop Ollie off at school, his little report card was waiting for me! I was kind of nervous to open it up, but he did great! He mastered all of his expectancies, and here is what his teacher had to say:

"Oliver is such a sweet and happy boy. He enjoys playing with cars and trucks, riding toys and the rainbow climber. Oliver has lots of fun here at CDI and we love having him in our class."
Some of the skills on his report card included:
  • Communicates through sounds, gestures, words
  • follows instructions
  • asserts independence
  • feels proud of what he can do
  • demonstrates caring and cooperation
  • Shows imaginative play
  • cooperates and participates at clean-up time
  • has developed a trusting relationship with caregivers
  • responds to verbal and non-verbal commands
  • able to choose a variety of activities independently

He likes climbing things at home too, like here where he is testing out the bassinet for his sister. Or here, where he is testing out the weight limit of this basket. We are still working on mastering silverware, but he is getting better.

He's good at sharing.

And plays well with others. He and Luke still adore each other! On an unrelated topic, this sand table has been my best purchase yet. It provides hours of entertainment. We'll see if the backyard makes it through the summer though with all of the sand that is being dumped into it...
