Vegas

Jon and I had a mini-getaway from December 3-7th. He had a tax conference in Las Vegas (the same one that was in Orlando last year), and I tagged along. Grandma Marie was here to watch the kids on Saturday and Sunday, and Grandma Debbie and Papa watched them from Sunday night to Wednesday. The kids, of course, had a great time, and so did Jon and I. It was a nice little break from reality. We got to relax, eat fabulous food, read books, and I think one of my favorite things was getting to watch the Today Show in the mornings! We were so ready to see the kids though by Wednesday night.

We went out to Vegas a day before his conference started so we could have a belated anniversary dinner. We went to Picasso at the Bellagio, which was amazing! Before dinner, we walked through the indoor gardens. This polar bear is completely made of flowers. Flower house at the Bellagio. The second night we were out there was the Vegas marathon and half-marathon. They shut down the strip, and there were 44,000 people running. It looked like fun, and we may run it in 2 years when we are back out.

The third night we had dinner and then watched a concert by 1964, the Beatles Tribute Band. They were amazing, and Rolling Stone Magazine said they were the best Beatles Tribute Band in the world!
Tuesday afternoon Jon had some free time, so we walked around the strip, and went ice skating in front of the Venetian.
