Crazy May!

The last few weeks have been a blur! Between running to Elkhart for a surprise visit, a "big, big, big party" (Oliver's words), the Indy 500 and my birthday, May ended quickly!

On the 25th, we drove up to Elkhart for the evening as it was Mom and Dad's last choir concert before their retirement! We went up and listened to their 7th and 8th graders sing, then had a quick dinner at Hacienda before heading back to Indy. It was fun to see their faces when they pulled up and saw us in the West Side Middle School parking lot!

Ollie "makin' the bloons dance" during the concert. Giving Papa a big hug! The whole gang at Hacienda. Well, Jon was taking the picture...
The 28th we had our annual pre-race cookout before the 500. We had about 30 people plus kids come over this year. It was a fun afternoon! On Sunday we headed to the Indy 500 with 16 of our friends. It was a fun time, as always!

Tailgating before the big race.View from our seats. Stealth bomber flyover during the National Anthem. This year we sat on the front straight away, so the pits were in front of us. Pretty cool stuff! Monday was my birthday. We visited the pool at the JCC, and I got sushi for dinner. Yum! Oliver ate my birthday cupcake for me. I also got surprised with tickets to Glee in Concert. What a fabulous birthday!
