Feeding the giraffe!
He LOVED carrots!
Checking out the zebras.

Waving at all of the animals.
Camel close-up!
Learning about the ostrich.
After the safari ride, we took a tram up to the park. The park was huge, and you could get very close to the animals. Luckily we had the stroller, because it involved a lot of walking. I would also recommend tennis shoes, which we would have worn if we would have known about all of the dirt paths! Here we are in front of a white tiger.
Feeding an emu.
Tiger close-up.
Cute little piggies in the backseat.
Super model.
Hi!
And now, time for another Oliver first. As we were leaving the safari park, I asked if he needed to go potty. No. I asked again when we stopped for gas, and when we stopped a third time at Starbucks. Again, no and no. So ten minutes into the drive, we hear "I hafta go potty" from the backseat. Really? We are out in the middle of mountains and desert with nowhere to stop. We finally pulled off on a ranchers road, and O got to pee by the side of the road. But he didn't stop there, he also had to poop. Awesome. He is ready for a camping trip!

Out of Africa
On Wednesday we loaded up and headed north to Out of Africa, a safari park that is about 90 minutes away from Phoenix. We got to see some beautiful scenery on the drive, and had beautiful weather. We started our safari experience with a guided tour. They have a big open bus that they drive around the preserve and tell you about all of the animals. We got to feed a giraffe and could have fed a camel, but we gave all of our carrots to the giraffe. It was pretty cool! Oliver was calling the bus M'tambo after the zoo train in Chuggington.
