For the first year in a LONG time, we did not take a trip over Spring Break. Between Elliot being only 7 weeks old and the fact that the second week was Holy Week and I had to sing at church 4 times, it just wasn't in the cards. So even more fun, we were cooped up in the house because it was only 30 degrees the entire two weeks, and we decided that it was time to potty train little miss! Little did we know what we were getting ourselves into... Ollie took 3 days to potty train. Eva, not so much. She does well at night, only wearing a pull-up the first two nights. She has not been a night wetter for a long while, so we ditched the pull-ups after that. She generally does well the first half of the day, and then has an accident or two in the evening. We have the pooping thing down, we just have to work on peeing on the floor...
One of her first "potty presents".
This was a common site over the two week break. Usually when she is being super stubborn and won't sit on the potty, we can either coerce her with the iPad or my phone and she will play a game until she goes.

So since we were stuck inside, I went onto handy dandy Pinterest and we tried a few of the kid science experiments that I had pinned. We had a blast!Experiment #1: Walking water This one took a good 18 hours, but we just kept checking on it throughout the day. It was fun to see how much water had moved each time, and by the next morning, all of the water had moved to the bottom cup!
Experiment #2: Exploding Bags We did this experiment at least 6 times. We found out we needed to use smaller sandwich bags, and if you squeeze the bag before it explodes, it won't work (that means you, Evie...). Also, if you run out of regular old white vinegar, apple cider vinegar will work too.
Bag in the sink before it exploded.
Plugging their ears before the loud 'boom'!
Experiment #3: Cloud Experiment The kids LOVED this one so much, we repeated it a second time when Daddy got home from work so we could show it to him too!
