So it's the end of March, and this is our backyard right now...
I believe that we had at least 9 inches of snow. In one afternoon. Happy Spring Break to us! As much fun as it would have been to go play outside, that wasn't going to happen with the baby (happy 2 month birthday, Elliot, here is the snow!!), so we brought some snow inside.
First we made some homemade snow cone syrup. Sugar, water and Kool-aid mix, who knew? Delicious, and tons of flavor possibilities. We had some Tropical Punch in the drawer from a taco kit that included Kool-aid mix, so we finally put it to use. I then took the ice cream scoop and made some snow balls.
Yummy!
Then, after seeing pictures on facebook from one of my genius mommy friends, we played with the snow inside! Two cookie sheets, a few ice cream scoops and tablespoons, a bottle of cloves and some mini carrots, and we were set!
Mini snowman!
Putting on the finishing touches!
And when Daddy came home, they finally got to go out!
