Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We all wore green t-shirts, ate a Reuben sandwich for lunch, and Jon had fish'n'chips for dinner, but that was the most we did to celebrate St. Patty's Day. Wednesday was our third day of vacation, and after Jon had one last meeting in the morning, we said goodbye to West Palm Beach and first headed west for a few hours to check out the Lion Country Safari, and then south to Key West.

My belly is looking a bit like Mommy's.Enjoying a pastry before we checked out of the hotel. Daddy, Ollie, Momo #1 and Momo #2, ready for the big drive!
Lion Country Safari is 20 miles west of West Palm Beach in Loxahatchee, FL. It starts out with a 4-mile drive through preserve, and then has a theme park with rides and some other animals. The drive through safari has over 800 animals in it, most of whom were roaming free. They would walk right in front of and beside our car! We were given a CD to play as we drove through the preserve that told about all of the animals. It was so much fun, and I would highly recommend going there if you are in the West Palm Beach area. It was chilly and rainy the day we were there, but they said that those are ideal conditions for the animals. Here is a slide show from our safari!
